Dior and A24 have entered a two-year partnership linking luxury fashion with film and theatre at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre. Dior will become the theatre’s main partner, supporting programming across film, theatre and fashion. A24 acquired the historic West Village venue in 2023.
The partnership brings together two companies with very different origins. Christian Dior founded Dior in Paris in 1946, while Daniel Katz, David Fenkel and John Hodges founded A24 in 2012.
What Is the Dior and A24 Partnership?
The Dior and A24 partnership is a two-year collaboration focused on programming at Cherry Lane Theatre and projects connecting fashion, film and theatre.
The collaboration was developed with Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson and A24 UK head Rose Garnett. Anderson and Garnett had previously worked together around Luca Guadagnino’s Queer, for which Anderson designed the costumes.
The partnership is not being presented as a conventional fashion sponsorship. It gives Dior a presence within an independent cultural venue while extending A24’s work across different creative disciplines.
The first event featured performer Justin Vivian Bond in Both Ends. Bond wore a vintage Paul Poiret gown from Anderson’s archive during the performance.

Christian Dior founded the House of Dior in 1946 in Paris.
Dior established the fashion house at 30 Avenue Montaigne. His first collection was presented there on February 12, 1947, introducing the silhouette that became known as the New Look.
Dior also entered fragrance from the beginning. Miss Dior launched alongside his first fashion collection in 1947.

Who Founded A24?
A24 was founded in 2012 by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel and John Hodges.
The company started as an independent film distributor before expanding into film and television production. Its early releases included Spring Breakers, The Bling Ring and Ex Machina.
A24 later became associated with films including Moonlight, Lady Bird, Uncut Gems and Everything Everywhere All at Once.
